Châteauneuf-du-Pape Wine

The Denomination of Origin Châteauneuf-du-Pape is located in the Rhone River wine region, east of France.

This region has a Mediterranean climate with strong winds that sweep away the moisture and intensify the dry climate. The soil is sandy, and this factor increases to the south. The rocks of this region are famous because they retain the sun's heat and release it at night thus accelerating the ripening of the grapes.

The grapes typical of the region are Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre, Picpoul, Terret Noir, Counoise, Muscardin, Vaccarese, Picard, Cisault, Clairet, and Bourboulene Roussane. The extension of the vineyards covering 3,200 hectares.
